The project’s ambition is to go beyond the realization of just an industrial building, a type of building that is frequently built for the needs of the production but rarely respecting architectural quality and harmonious integration in the existing context, not to mention sustainable development whose real goal is to reduce pollution and energy consumption. It is enough to look around the project grounds to realize it.
The «224 LAY AYAS» building is proposed as a cornerstone to start a path to improve the architectural and environmental quality of industrial buildings. «224 LAS AYAS» proposes itself as a «sample building» in this difficult, even ignored, building sector, where only production matters.
This doesn’t mean that the project is opposed to production: one of the objectives is to encourage it, but with great attention to architectural forms and respect for the environment.
«224 LAS AYAS» proposes itself as an example on how to give dignity to industrial buildings: the project seeks beauty, landscape integration, particularly color, which is different from the classic sad colors of buildings of the same type. Blue, to get closer to the sky, to remind the sea, to evoke one of the dominant colors of the French Riviera. And especially the blue of the blazon of the city of Contes.
