The project was part of the overall recovery plan of the whole disused coastal railway belt, converted into a cycling and pedestrian track.
The section in question has a length of about four kilometers. The implementation involved the conversion of the former railway that, due to its characteristics, created a clean break between the city and the sea. The cycling-pedestrian track has effectively helped to mend the urban fabric between the city and the sea, allowing citizens and tourists to travel on foot or by bicycle previously inaccessible spaces, making city spaces, in the past penalized by the presence of the railway, more pleasant and enjoyable.
The track that crosses Sanremo has the typological and dimensional features present in other stretches: pigmented asphalt, sidewalks, lush trees and surrounding green areas, the widespread presence of prestigious street furniture.
