The project involves the transformation of a large area downstream of the former railway line. The size and characteristics make the intervention a significant opportunity for urban, environmental and landscape renewal. The creation of a shipbuilding centre will offer services to ports in the Eastern Ligurian coast and will also have an international character, especially with regard to France.
The future site will allow the refit and maintenance of boats that could be up to 100 meters.
The area has adequate protection from the sea and all the technical equipment required, including built-up covered areas for specific processes.
Synergistically to environmental renewal, on the cover of one of the industrial buildings there is a large public park, a surface area of about 7,000 square meters, adjacent to the cycling-pedestrian path, directly accessible and which will be its integral part.
